Customers in funeral management services, M-Jannah and Darul Jenazah can now make subscription payments at any time online through the application, kiplePay.
M-Jannah and Darul Jenazah are shariah-compliant funeral management services offered as a result of Bank Muamalat’s collaboration with Bumijez Sdn. Bhd.
Bank Muamalat Central Region Manager, Anaruddin Abas said, the application developed by local company, Green Packet Bhd. will make it easier for existing M-Jannah and Darul Jenazah customers without having to go to the bank counter.
According to him, the payment through the kiplePay application was ideated due to the difficulty of customers to make payment at the counter when the country is still under the Movement Control Order.
“With this initiative, Bank Mualamat intends to further improve the quality of M-Jannah services to customers in line with current technology trends.
“This application also facilitates M-Jannah and Darul Jenazah customers to manage funeral cashlessly and encourages customers to use the cashless payment medium,” he said.
He said this at the Launching Ceremony of the M-Jannah and Darul Jenazah Digital Payment Platform Services here yesterday.
Also present were Bumijez CEO Abdul Halim Hamzah and kiplePay CEO Tan Kay Yen.
Meanwhile, Abdul Halim said, with the launch of the application, his team is targeting an increase of new customers between 3,000 to 4,000 people a month.
“Our service has started since 2009 in the Klang Valley before expanding nationwide,” he said.
According to him, M-Jannah membership starts at as low as RM80 a year with complete funeral management services worth RM1,500 and even includes zikir, tahlil, khatam al-Quran and charitable money RM1,500 to the next-of-kin.
